it sounds like a half rad and is usually only fitted to the 20re not the 22trs but it will fit both but not a 25tri as it is designed only for one fan. You need the full rad. |

I have a GTI Turbo 2 that has decided to bore a hole in its radiator. I've had no luck finding a new replacement so far but I have received a quote of £150 for a Re Core from this crowd www.countyradiators.co.uk I'm waiting for another quote from www.radicool-services.co.uk (all in the South east)
has anyone had any experiences with Re Cored radiators, are they any good?
Does anyone know a tried and trusted Re Corer, or better still a hidden secret underground parts store full of new radiators!? _________________ Jash

| If you get a leak in a radiator core, there is a crude but effective fix that I saw on my old 22TRS. You can cut away the fins around the holed pipe and add a bit of high temperature rubber tubing in with jubilie clips on each end. |

I got a new one from carcooling.co.uk It was less than £100 delivered!
In the past I have used 2.4 rads to no detriment in Turbos. the difference was in the hose configuration. _________________ Neil H

Actually i did once fit a 22TRS Rad to a s1 Gti Turbo. same size, same mounting places, bottom hose straight on but top hose needed an elbow extension added, worked fine. _________________

A quick update on the radiator front. It's been back up and running happily now for a few weeks after getting the radiator re-cored by these guys http://www.aaronradiator.co.uk/
They were friendly and even seemed pro Citroën as I got a brief tour of a couple of DS radiators he also had in.
I had no luck finding a new genuine Turbo 2 part after calling round quite few places. So stockpile those parts!
Thanks for the offer Stan (assuming your message was directed at me?) I'd got back up and running a few weeks back now. I am in the market for a Plip though ......... _________________ Jash
